Arthur Zwane confirms Reeve Frosler’s homecoming date

Following his latest injury, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has confirmed how long defender Reeve Frosler would be out of action.

Frosler pulled up with what seemed to be a hamstring injury during Chiefs’ defeat to Cape Town City and has since missed the team’s MTN 8 victory against Stellenbosch.

Prior to his injury, Frosler had established himself as a crucial left back for Zwane’s Chiefs. Even though he is right-footed, he has always been adept with his left foot, which made him a valuable asset for his old club, the now-defunct Bidvest Wits. His form in that position was so impressive last season that he beat out natural left-footers like Sibusiso Mabiliso, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Sfiso Hlanti, and Happy Mashiane.

He would subsequently continue up where he left off under Zwane, starting all five league games for the Chiefs this season before to his injury. Frosler’s absence against AmaZulu this weekend is unsurprising, and Zwane has now confirmed how long the Gqeberha native is anticipated to remain out.

Regarding injuries, we will be without Reeve Frosler. “He’ll be gone for four weeks,” said Zwane. Zwane announced to the media on Chiefs media open day that Frosler might miss up to a month.

New midfielder Yusuf Maart is expected to return after missing a couple of games due to suspension, so it won’t be all bad news for Zwane. The Bafana Bafana international has also established himself as an important member of Zwane’s squad, with ‘10111’ lamenting his absence at times.

Saturday at 17:30, when they visit AmaZulu at the FNB Stadium, Chiefs will be aiming to return to winning ways in the league.
