Arthur Jarvis University (AJU) close indefinitely following the kidnapping of a student

The administration of Arthur Jarvis University in Cross River State decided to close the institution indefinitely following the kidnapping of a student on Tuesday night.

The private institution’s interim registrar, Ughas Ngozi Felicia, gave parents and guardians 24 hours to come for their children and wards from the university in a circular that was released on Wednesday.

According to the statement, students who are already taking exams will continue to do so during the next academic year. Students in their final year who need to finish their final defence will be notified as soon as possible.

According to the announcement, “The Management has approved the commencement of the 2021/2022 vacation with effect from Wednesday, July 20, 2022”.

“All students are expected to depart the university grounds immediately. The date of the next academic session’s resumption will be announced in due time.

“All outstanding exams will be taken at the start of the next session. Students in their final year will be advised of the date and details of their Project Defense.”
