An alleged house invasion on Veldcastle Road in Newlands West left three persons injured.

An alleged house invasion on Veldcastle Road in Newlands West just after 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening left three persons gravely injured.

When ALS Paramedics Medical Services and VIP Medical Response arrived on the site, they discovered that a reaction officer had been wounded in the abdomen.

He was stabilized on the spot before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital for the additional care he needed.

Two of the house’s inhabitants suffered significant injuries and were stabilized by Advanced Life Support paramedics on the spot before being taken to a nearby Durban hospital for further treatment.

At this stage the events leading up to the incident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
