The stalker of tennis champion Emma Raducanu, who traveled 23 kilometers to her house, is asking to have his community service sentence overturned.
Amrit Magar, a married man, went to the house of the 20-year-old and left a message saying that she “deserved love” and took her father’s sneaker under the pretense that it belonged to her.
According to The Sun, court records reveal that the 36-year-old asked judges to rescind the injunction for medical grounds.
In Bromley Magistrates’ Court, the former Amazon driver was handed a five-year restraining order, an 18-month community order, and 200 hours of unpaid work.
The man’s creepy behavior alarmed sports star Emma, who declared: “I feel like my independence has been taken away.”

On three different times, he visited the house of the British number one, loitered outside, left unwelcome presents and cards, and took items from the doorstep.
He was detained when the father of the British number one, Ian, received a doorbell camera alerting him that someone was at the door before realizing his trainer had been kidnapped from the porch.
He left flowers and a letter on one occasion, saying, “Nothing to say except You Deserve Love,” and a map indicating the “23 kilometers” he had traveled from his house on another.
Then, on December 4, 2021, Magar lit up a tree in Miss Raducanu’s front yard with Christmas lights, and after that, believing it belonged to the sports star, he took a trainer from the porch.
However, it belonged to her father, Ian, who followed Magar in his vehicle while alerting the police after recognizing him from doorbell camera video as a prior visitor to the house.
When Magar was apprehended, police discovered the shoe in his suitcase, and he told them he “wanted a keepsake.”
