After Russian missiles damaged Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Moldova experienced’massive power disruptions’

On Tuesday, Moldova experienced widespread power disruptions as a result of Russia’s missile attack on Ukraine’s electrical infrastructure.

An official stated that the attacks brought down a vital power cable that supplies the little nation.

Infrastructure Minister Andrei Spinu stated in a statement, ‘As a result of Russia’s bombardment of the Ukrainian energy system in the past hour, one of the power lines that enables the transmission of electricity for our country has been severed.’

This has caused widespread power disruptions across the nation.

Spinu stated that the fell power lines “were not damaged, but were immediately removed as a precaution” and that Moldelectrica is currently trying to restore power.
