The Delta State School of Marine Technology (DESOMATECH), Burutu, is now accepting applications for its ND (National Diploma) full-time and part-time programs for the 2022/2023 academic year. The DESOMATECH ND application is available online. See available courses and application instructions below.

The Delta State School of Marine Technology, Burutu has campuses in Gbaregolor and Kwale. The institution, which is fully certified by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), invites applications from adequately qualified applicants for admission to the following National Diploma (ND) programmes, weekend programmes, and part-time studies for the 2022/2023 academic session.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND)

SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBC/NTC ordinary level certificates or its equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) relevant subjects to the programme, earned in not more than two (2) sittings;

Marine Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Boat and Ship Building Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical/Electronics Engineering for School of Engineering Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering; five (5) O-level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, and one of the following: Technical Drawing, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Additional Mathematics, and Statistics. Auto-Mechanics and Metal Work in no more than two sittings.

For School of Science and Technology, Departments: Nautical Science and Seamanship, Science Laboratory Technology, Fisheries and Fisheries Technology, Oceanography, Computer Science; five (5) O-Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and one (1) relevant subject from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Economics, Basic Electronics, Technical Drawing, and Statistics.

Five (5) O-level Credit passes in English Language; Mathematics; Chemistry; Biology/Agricultural Science; and one subject from the following: Technical Drawing; Geography; Economics and Statistics.

Five (5) O-level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and two (2) topics from Technical Drawing, Geography, Basic Surveying, Statistics, Economics, and Biology/Agricultural Science are required for admission to the Department of Survey and Geoinformatics.

For the Department of Estate Management, five O-level (5) Credit passes in Mathematics; English Language and three (3) of the following subjects: Physics; Chemistry; Geography; Statistics; Technical Drawing; Basic Surveying; Economics; Biology; Agricultural Science; Art; Woodwork and Metal Work.

Five (5) O-level Credits passes in English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) topics from the list below are required for admission to the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Geography, Economics, Statistics, Art, and two of Chemistry, Physics, Technical Drawing, Biology, or Agricultural Science.

For the Departments of Maritime Transportation; Accounting; Business Administration; Marketing and Public Administration, the School of Maritime Transportation and Business Studies requires five (5) O-level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, and any other three (3)credits from Geography; Statistics; French; Economics; Commerce; Civic Education; Government; Accounting; Biology and Agricultural Science.
