According to a new book, a spy working for Canada brought Shamima Begum and her two adolescent pals into Syria before Justin Trudeau’s country joined up with the UK to conceal its involvement.

2019 saw the removal of the so-called Jihadi Bride’s British citizenship after she left the country four years earlier to join the Islamic State (IS).

The now 23-year-old allegedly was transported into the Middle East by a double agent who worked for both IS and Canadian intelligence, according to recent disclosures.

According to The Secret History of the Five Eyes, authorities in Ottawa are then said to have remained silent while Scotland Yard conducted a massive, worldwide hunt for Begum and her pals Amira Abase and Kadiza Sultana.

The UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand formed the Five Eyes partnership to share information during the Cold War.

According to the book by writer Richard Kerbaj, Canada ultimately acknowledged its participation in the scheme because its leaders were afraid of being found out, and they also succeeded in persuading Britain to downplay its part.

There have been requests for an investigation into the police and intelligence services’ knowledge of Canada’s efforts in response to the allegations.

What is Five Eyes?

The UK, the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are members of the Five Eyes partnership, which shares information.

Five Eyes (FVEY) began as a result of intelligence exchange between British and American codebreakers during the Second World War.

Winston Churchill stressed the need of “the brotherly union of the English-speaking peoples” after the war to stop the Soviet Union from expanding its sphere of influence.

As the Cold War went on, ECHELON, a network for collecting and analyzing signals information, became the official vehicle for the allies’ intelligence exchange.

The network was created to keep an eye on the Soviet Union and its allies, but it now keeps an eye on communications throughout the globe.

The existence of ECHELON was made known in the late 1990s, exposing one of history’s largest spy networks.

Its surveillance of internet communications during the “war on terror” came under fire because of suspicions that the member nations were breaking the law.

In order to “promote their common principles of democracy, freedom, and respect for human rights,” its mandate was recently broadened last year when it started making comments on behalf of its members.

‘Britain has extolled its efforts to combat Isis and the grooming of our children by investing millions of pounds on the Prevent project and internet surveillance,’ Tasnime Akunjee, the lawyer representing the Begum family, said in a statement to the Times.

However, at the same time, in the pretext of collecting intelligence, we have been working with a Western friend and exchanging sensitive information with them while they have essentially kidnapped British children and trafficked them over the Syrian border to be delivered to Isis.

According to this calculation, the lives of British children and the possibility of their death are included in the list of acceptable risks that our friends in the West have accepted.

According to the book, Canada recruited Mohammed al-Rashed as an agent when he requested refuge at its consulate in Jordan. Al-Rashed was a human trafficker for the terrorists.

According to reports, Ottawa officials are also worried about their own young people being encouraged to join IS.

The British government declined to comment on operational intelligence or security-related issues, a spokesperson told the newspaper.

We have a long-standing policy of not to comment on operational intelligence or security concerns, according to a British government spokeswoman.

In 2015, Begum left her East London school in Bethnal Green to fly to Syria, where she wed an ISIS fighter and gave birth to three children, all of whom died away at an early age.

In the north-east prison camp in Syria, her youngest child passed away in 2019.

She has made previous attempts to restore her British citizenship, but failed in her Supreme Court bid to return to the UK and fight her case in person.

The Supreme Court ruled on national security grounds that she cannot return to Britain to pursue an appeal against the decision. The law states a person’s citizenship can be stripped if they are deemed to be in the public interest.

Speaking to iNews from the camp while she awaits a trial by the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces earlier this summer, she insisted that she wants to be ‘as British as possible’, but conceded that she expects she will spend the rest of her life in Syria.

‘That’s how I feel and that’s what it looks like,’ Begum said on the likelihood of her spending the rest of her life in the Middle East.
