Former world number one and four-time grand slam champion Ash Barty announced on Friday that she and husband Garry Kissick are expecting their first child.
“2023 will be the best year to date. “We are ecstatic about our upcoming new adventure,” the native Australian stated. “Origi is already the watchful older sister”
Barty utilized her cute border collie Origi to inform her 516K Instagram followers of the news.
Two months after winning the Australian Open, the 26-year-old stunned the tennis community by announcing her retirement in March of last year, shocking the tennis community.
Kissick, 32, made a comparable statement on his Instagram account with the caption “Little Red, 2023.”
Barty utilized her horse Origi to make the declaration.

Numerous tennis figures congratulated Barty and Kissick on their pregnancy announcement, which spread around social media.
