Surviving a Life-Threatening Experience: Precious Chikwendu’s Story
Former partner of ex-minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, Precious Chikwendu, recently took to social media to share a harrowing experience that had nearly cost her life.
Posting on her Instagram account, Chikwendu shared a heartfelt photograph taken several years ago, capturing a moment with her triplet sons.
In her post, she revealed that shortly after giving birth to her triplets, she was diagnosed with a severe blood clot complication.
As she reflected on the photo and the challenges she faced, Chikwendu also took the opportunity to pay tribute to her late mother, crediting her for instilling in her the qualities of tenacity and positivity.
Chikwendu expressed her emotional journey, writing, “Dear Mom! Thanks for teaching me tenacity and positivity.
This picture was taken exactly one month after you left me in a clueless state.”
Detailing the emotional turmoil she endured during that period, she continued, “On this day, I had cried out my eyes, wiped out my tears and held on to my boys not knowing how to navigate the triplet mom sphere or an all boys kingdom without out you my life’s compass.”
Chikwendu revealed that the day the photograph was taken also marked a significant moment in her medical journey.
She disclosed, “I had your assurance that you would stay and somehow you ghosted exactly one month to their arrival.
This was the exact day my MRI came out and It was clear I had a horrible blood clot complication.”
Despite the challenges she faced, Chikwendu expressed gratitude for the positive outcome.
She shared her relief that she was able to capture that moment with her growing boys, even though they have since matured beyond their baby years.
In her concluding words, Chikwendu poignantly summed up her journey and the photograph’s significance: “I took this picture incase I was no more in the process but mercy said no.
Glad i can still carry them this way even though they are all grown now.”
