A man narrowly escapes death after his Audi was crushed by 18-tonne lorry

A lucky Audi driver narrowly escaped death when his £40,000 car was flattened by an 18-tonne lorry during a horrific crash on the M6 in the early hours of the day. The driver sustained only minor injuries, leaving police stunned and calling it a “miracle.” The accident occurred between Junction 8 and Junction 9 near Walsall, West Midlands when the driver crashed into the back of a stationary HGV.

Dramatic images captured at the scene show the white Audi A5 wedged under the HGV, and the crash resulted in the closure of the motorway in both directions for two hours. Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) tweeted pictures of the incident, expressing their surprise that the driver only sustained minor injuries. They also used the incident to highlight the importance of driving with due care and attention.

The collision happened hours after drivers faced chaos on the M6 near Junction 10 when another lorry crashed into a car, causing it to flip over the central reservation. It is unclear if anyone was injured in that incident.
