A man from Adelaide is accused of being enticed to his home, stripped naked, and threatened with a knife.

A man stated he was afraid of being sold into the sex trade after being led to his ex-house, lover’s restrained with wire ties, and threatened with a knife.

In October of 2020, the victim was reportedly enticed to Eli James Seymour Robinson’s residence in Oaklands Park, Adelaide, by his ex-girlfriend Sarah Jane Powell, 22.

He was made to strip and was bound before allegedly being asked to hand over his bank account information.

‘During the incident I felt that I was going to die or be sold into the sex trade,’ the victim said in a statement at the Adelaide District Court on Thursday, reported The Advertiser.

‘I felt humiliated and terrified, demoralised…I felt as if I were in a horror movie.

‘I recently had an invite to a friend’s birthday to go to and had to check with three friends before attending to make sure it was for real and not another set up.’

Robinson admitted to attempted robbery and said that he was bribed with narcotics to take part in the ordeal.

Powell, 22, and her co-accused, Joshua Ross Ecclestone Elmsly, 26, reportedly lured the victim to the house where her new lover, Joshua Ross Ecclestone Elmsly, 26, was waiting.

Powell has pled guilty to a number of crimes, including detaining a person for the purpose of committing an indictable crime and stealing, and will be sentenced later this month.

Mr Elmsly, another co-accused, will stand trial in September after pleading not guilty to his claimed role in the abduction.

Around $2,400 was allegedly moved from the victim’s bank account to Mr Elmsly’s.

Mr Elmsly allegedly discovered the victim’s gold in a home safe.

Mr Elmsly allegedly threatened to stab the victim as he stated he would phone his mum to drop off the key to the safe.

Robinson was caught when he went out looking for the key after the victim’s mother and stepfather had contacted the cops.

Robinson’s counsel claimed that his client had showed charity to the victim by handing him a glass of water, and that he had no idea what Powell and Mr Elmsly were plotting.

Robinson is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.

In September, Mr. Elmsly will stand trial.
