Lucky Australian wins $60 million Powerball prize, becoming a multi-millionaire.
Numbers 22, 6, 1, 16, 17, 29, and 11 were drawn for the lottery on Thursday night.
Powerball number 2 was drawn.
It was anticipated that 1 in 6 Australians will get a ticket for draw 1363.
The winning ticket is thought to have been bought in NSW or ACT.
According to The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart, the single winner will rank among the highest lottery winnings of the year so far, according to Yahoo News.
‘A Coffs Harbour man who wanted to put a new red sports vehicle in the garage of a new house after we discovered he’d won more than $63.3 million in a February Powerball draw,’ Mr. Hart said, “is Australia’s highest lottery winner of 2022 thus far.”
It’s interesting to note that New South Wales players have had a great start to 2022, accounting for five of the nine Powerball division one victories so far this year.
“We’ve also seen wins land in Victoria, two in Queensland, and one apiece in Western Australia,” Mr. Hart continued.
