A couple shares their chaotic and eventful mountain proposal story

A couple recently shared their chaotic and eventful mountain proposal story. Morgan Carter, 21, proposed to his girlfriend Natalie Bucklein, 23, while on a romantic snowy mountain hike with his brother Riley, 23, and his wife Jess, 24. The four of them set off on the hike, and Morgan was ready to pop the question when a moose suddenly charged towards them.

In a quick reaction, Morgan tackled his now-fiancée to the ground to protect her, and the moose wandered off in the other direction.

After the close encounter with the moose, Riley and Jess suggested that the couple poses for a photograph, and Morgan got down on one knee to propose.

However, as he was getting into position, Natalie jumped on Morgan out of shock, sending him plummeting to the ground. During the fall, Morgan dropped the ring, and it got lost under the snow. After a brief search, he found the ring, and Natalie said yes to the proposal.

Morgan, who works as a wastewater operation technician, described the moose encounter, stating that he instinctively grabbed Natalie and threw her into the snow. Natalie added that she was nearly thrown into a creek and wanted to leave at that point, as she had no suspicion that Morgan was about to propose.

Jess and Riley then suggested that the couple take a photograph, but Natalie’s suspicions were raised when Morgan did not get closer to her for the picture. Morgan got down on one knee and popped the question, and Natalie jumped on him in both joy and shock. Morgan explained that he was nervous before but thought that if he could deal with a moose, he could deal with proposing.

Despite the chaos, Morgan and Natalie celebrated their engagement by completing their hike and eating hot wings.
