A caffeine-infused alternative will replace lift this year

Later this year, a caffeine-infused alternative will completely replace lift on store shelves.

The beverage, a mainstay of the Australian market since the 1970s, will be phased out there by the end of September 2022.

Except for Glass 330mL, Ready-to-Drink Lift forms will be discontinued from shops by the end of September 2022, according to a Coca-Cola representative.

The beverage has given consumers an option to well-known brands like Solo and Kirks.

Sprite Lemon+ has been substituted for the beverage, although it doesn’t have the same flavour as Lift.

The representative said, “After listening to our consumers, our emphasis is on our new Sprite Lemon+ line, which we hope will be well-liked by our current Lift drinkers.

Caffeine is another stimulant in Sprite Lemon+ that wasn’t included in Lift.

Customers complained about the loss of the once-popular beverage and weren’t pleased with the addition.

One user said, “Lift with caffeine added, excellent.”

Another said, “Why did they have to add caffeine.”

Despite the disappointment of many at the demise of Lift, many said the beverage had lost its distinctive flavour.

It used to be very good, but now it just tastes like lemon water without any sweetness. What a shame, Lift used to taste fantastic,” a guy said on the forum.

New Zealand has likewise stopped selling the beverage.
