Mamelodi Sundowns is prepared for its Nedbank Cup season opener against Richards Bay FC on Tuesday evening in Pretoria. The Brazilians’ rising talent Cassius Mailula anticipated the forthcoming Ke Yona match, in which he will make his debut as a member of the first squad.

Last season, the defending Champions defeated Natal Rich Boys 4-0 in the Last 32 as they battled to win the Nedbank Cup Champions title and trophy. Bafana Ba begin their title defense with a clean slate and are ready to provide a stronger performance. Mailula divulged the club’s strategy for the upcoming match, stating, “It won’t be an easy game against Richards Bay, as they have a strong physical team.”

“They will undoubtedly enter this game with the intent to win, but we intend to improve our performance in the competition so that we can retain the trophy and keep it in our cabinet. We will ensure that we advance to the next level.”

The Brazilians Academy graduate will compete in the Nedbank Cup for the first time with the senior squad, and he is sure that Masandawana can maintain their Championship standing. Mailula expressed his eagerness to help the squad reach the knockout competition finals and win the trophy for the first time in his football career.

“As long as we work as a team, I believe we can reach our objective. Our previous league match was really intense, and I believe that it prepared us exceptionally well for our match versus Richards Bay. Since I have witnessed how heated competitions can become, I am confident that our hard-working team, under the best leadership, will win the trophy. The rising Brazilian talent stated.

The Masandawana midfielder urged the Yellow Nation to show up at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday night to support the squad as they start off the #KeYona competition. He stated, “We need the fans to be present because they are our 12th man and they inspire us throughout the games.”

Bafana Ba Style hopes to get off to a strong start at home and will defend the trophy one match at a time.
