Despite their age difference, the couple hit it off immediately, and Iris flew to Cairo five months later with a wedding dress in her luggage.
However, they could not get married straight away because Iris had not brought her papers with her.
Eventually, they exchanged vows during Iris’s third visit in October 2020.
