74 yrs-old Gregory Itzin dies during an emergency surgery

Gregory Itzin, 74, who starred as the US president in Fox’s popular series “24,” passed away on Friday as a result of complications from an emergency surgery according to The Hollywood Reporter.

His wife Judie Itzin, to whom he had been married since 1979, and their two children Wilke, 39, and Julia, 36, both of whom have established acting careers, survive Itzin.

Before making his final on-screen appearance in an episode of the medical drama “The Resident” in 2019, Itzin also had a recurring role as Theodore Hannigan on the final two seasons of the sitcom “Friends” and co-starred with Lindsay Lohan in the suspense film “I Know Who Killed Me” in 2007.
