74-year-old ex-first lady dresses brazenly at awards bash

A day after making an unexpected solo appearance at a film festival, the former first lady of the United States Hilary Clinton made a glamorous entrance at an awards ceremony wearing a rather daring attire.

For the DVF awards event, Mrs. Clinton, 74, wore a vibrant orange-patterned coat with smokey eye makeup and basic black pants and shoes.

The awards ceremony, which honours incredible women, gave the former First Lady a front-row seat.

She also reconnected with her friend and fellow fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and her longtime assistant Huma Abedin at the party last night, when Mrs. Clinton made a statement in which she lauded a US director and filmmaker.

She referred to social justice campaigner and director Ava DuVernay as a “path breaker, change maker, and historical filmmaker” in a statement that earned her a standing ovation from the audience in Venice.

Mrs. Clinton is quoted as saying: “Her visionary writings on Black history and experiences are more important now than ever,” according to Variety.

She continued by praising her and said that DuVernay, who received the Inspiration DVF award, had “opened doors” for many others in addition to herself.

Speaking on behalf of the Vital Voices Global Partnership, a nonprofit organisation she created in 1997, Mrs. Clinton attended the DVF event yesterday.

Diane Von Furstenberg initiated the honours, which have been presented for 13 years; this year, Mrs. Clinton and a large number of other powerful women attended.

Christine Lagarde, the head of the European Central Bank, Zoya Lytvyn, a Ukrainian educator, and ten Afghan women were also honoured during the ceremony.

For the Afghan women and girls who are most at danger, the women are trying to secure a “safe and sustainable future.”

Alessandra Galloni, the editor-in-chief of Reuters, and Clarissa Ward, the top foreign reporter for CNN, served as the event’s hosts yesterday.

A day after many people were taken aback by Mrs. Clinton’s unexpected appearance on the Venice Film Festival red carpet, she attended the awards ceremony where she once again reconnected with longtime assistant Huma Abedin.

As she appeared on the red carpet for the premiere of the upcoming Netflix movie “White Noise,” many people questioned why she was there.

She posed on the carpet with a baby blue kaftan and sparkly flats. Before the premiere of her documentary “In Her Hands,” which she co-directed with daughter Chelsea, it was rumoured that she attended the opening night due to her relationship with Netflix.

A Netflix official, however, clarified that the corporation was not responsible for her red carpet look.

A source then revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that Clinton’s attendance was really related to her presentation at the DVF Awards last night.

Clinton’s behaviour on the carpet absolutely perplexed social media users.

In an age of widespread homelessness and mortality, one unhappy Tweeter wrote: “Completely unneeded.”

She allegedly “showed up” at the Venice Film Festival for “zero” reason, according to another individual.

Prior to their arrival at the festival, Mrs. Clinton was seen in Venice boarding a boat with her friend Huma and a handful of other people.

From the pictures, it seems that Bill Clinton did not go to Venice with his wife.

After Biden took the stage elsewhere and launched a harsh verbal attack on Trump at the Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Mrs. Clinton spoke yesterday at the DVF awards.

Trump was singled out by Biden, who blasted him for implying that the 2020 election was rigged and accused him of “killing American democracy.”

Additionally, he referred to Trump and the MAGA Republicans as “extremism” that poses a danger to the fundamental basis of our nation.

He got enthusiastic applause and a favourable response to his remarks, much like Clinton.

His night, however, was marred by a heckler who yelled “f*** Joe Biden,” as well as the fact that the majority of the major news networks did not broadcast his speech live.

He also posted a photo of Biden with his arms up in the fists, against a backdrop of dark red lights on the stage, next to a picture of himself kissing the American flag.
