30 candidates emerge as Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy Fellowship Program winners

Successful applicants for the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) Fellowship Program have been instructed by Mrs. Ajibola Ponnle, Commissioner for Establishments, Training, and Pensions, to show the trust placed in them by their selection.

In his address at the final selection of candidates for the Academy, Ponnle emphasized that the successful candidates were chosen on the basis of their intelligence, resiliency, and competence. He urged them to see their selection as a privilege since there is a lot expected of them.

The Commissioner said that more over 3000 applications were submitted, and each candidate through a stringent selection process that was carried out by an independent consultant who was deemed to be among the finest in the field.

Only 30 individuals, or a tiny portion of the applicants, were chosen when the exercise was complete, she stated. Making ensuring that only the top applicants are chosen and accepted into the Fellowship program is the main goal of the screening process.

Ponnle stated that the program was created to give young Nigerians opportunities for leadership positions by providing them with the necessary skills to foster a commitment to public service while instilling the ethics and values of purposeful leadership. He explained that the Fellowship’s focus is to develop the next generation of leaders.

The Commissioner claims that by providing a platform for young, energetic, inventive, service-oriented, and value-driven people who would be taught and absorbed in public service in the State and throughout the country, Governor Sanwo-Olu made a strong statement with the Academy.

She stated her belief that the LJLA would eventually become a crucial venue for inspiring, mentoring, and producing young Nigerians for leadership roles.
