16-year-olds shoved down NYC apartment stairs and robbed

On Saturday, five assailants attacked and robbed two 16-year-olds in a Bronx apartment complex, according to a horrifying surveillance video of the crime. The attack was caught on camera.

The two youngsters, who are said to be both 16 years old, were seen flying from the top of the steps as the swarm of attackers surged fast towards them in CCTV footage of the early morning brawl in New York City.

One of the assailants produced a sharp weapon, gashed one of the teenagers, and then made off with his phone and $100. Along with having his cheek cut, the other teen also had his phone taken.

The terrifying video showed the gang of five striking the pair at 5.30 am with punches and kicks before isolating one of the lads, dragging him into the corridor, and stomping on him.

According to NBC, the two teenagers, who were left bleeding and battered, were taken to the Montefiore Medical Center for treatment of their wounds.

As the number of robberies and assaults in the Bronx continues to rise, NYPD is working to identify the five males in the video, which was shot in the complex at 306 E 171 St.

The group of attackers still haven’t been apprehended, according to the police.

A man was detained by Bronx police on charges of attempted murder on August 12 after he followed another restaurant patron outside and attacked him viciously without using words, breaking his skull.

The victim was discovered to have been rendered unconscious and unresponsive following the unprovoked attack by 55-year-old registered sex offender Bui Van Phu.

Phu put on a pair of gloves and struck the victim in the back of the head with significant force as it was caught on horrifying surveillance footage.

The victim looked to be comatose when she slid to the ground. The abrupt onslaught caused him to hit his head against the concrete. EMS transported the victim, who had bleeding on the brain, a fractured skull, and a shattered cheekbone to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

The victim, who was spotted speaking with several other people, left the restaurant after the suspect, who was wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans, did.

He allegedly hit the victim in the face “without prior talk or altercation” before “returning back into the restaurant and afterwards to places unknown,” according to the NYPD.

On August 18, the Bronx district attorney accused Phu of a misdemeanour and ordered his release from custody.
