$100,000 lottery winner says he was inspired by an episode of TLC’s ‘Lottery Changed My Life’

Using a lottery strategy he heard from a reality TV show, a man in South Carolina who spent $25 per week on Powerball tickets for three months ended up winning more than $100,000.

The unnamed winner claims that an episode of TLC’s “Lottery Changed My Life” served as an inspiration for hm.

He experimented by buying $25 worth of lottery tickets each week for three months, and he had the patience to watch his plan succeed.

He informed the South Carolina Education Lottery, “The first week I won $500.”

He had played the state lottery seven times by the end of the week, and he won the grand prize of $100,000.

He said with a grin, “I didn’t even know how to play Powerball. I bought the lottery ticket at a gas station in Hanahan.”

The man claimed that he initially believed that he had only matched two numbers until he compared this week’s winning numbers with the ones he selected.

But when his wife took his ticket and once more checked the two sets of numbers, she discovered that her husband had really picked the Powerball winning number.

The man discovered five numbers on his ticket matched, falling just short of winning the May 28 jackpot after giving his ticket another glance.

He first won $50,000, but by adding an extra dollar to PowerPlay, he doubled his winnings and now had $100,000. The winner received $69,000 in total after taxes.

The man has already purchased a new car for himself after being declared the winner.

He still spends $25 per week on lottery tickets, so he hopes to win more.

He declared, “I’m going to finish the three months.”

According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the chances of matching four white ball numbers with the red Powerball number are one in 913,129.

Kwik Fill in Hanahan, the gas station that sold the winning ticket, received a $1,000 commission.

South Carolina’s upcoming Powerball prize is $312 million.

The cost of a lottery ticket in the state is $2, and the likelihood of winning the jackpot is one in 293 million.

According to lottery representative Holli Armstrong, the winner declined to have his name made public.
