10 days after drunk companions inserted cup, doctors withdrew it

Ten days after his pals placed a steel cup there as a drunken joke, doctors removed it.

The 45-year-old Indian patient from Balipadar had surgery to have the sizable item removed.

The poor individual was reportedly out drinking with his buddies on August 19 in Surat, Gujarat, an Indian state where alcohol use is prohibited.

According to accounts, the victim’s companions said they played a “prank” on him by inserting the big object up his rectum while he was “in an intoxicated condition.”

The cup is around 6 inches (15 cm) long and 3 to 4 inches (8 cm) in diameter.

According to local media, the man’s relatives hurried him to the hospital as soon as they learned about the occurrence since he was embarrassed to disclose it.

The cup was discovered to be caught in the gut, according to an X-Ray taken at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur City.

According to NDTV India, the man’s stomach began to bulge after 10 days since he hadn’t defecated since the event, at which point the cup was removed.

The size of the cup forced the physicians to resort to surgery after their first attempt to remove it via the rectum failed.

To get it out, medical professionals had to cut into the gut. Overall, the process took around 2.5 hours.

The unfortunate individual is recuperating after surgery, and his health is reportedly stable.

He will be under surveillance in the hospital for a further 4-5 days.
