Tribeca mother with three Shimrit Bahar, age 39, wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a crop top with a Y2K-era low rise denim, but there’s something fulfilling about showing off her toned abs in a cut-out dress or high-waisted skirt with a bra top, she said.

Bahar told The Post, “I work hard, so I enjoy showing off that part of my body.”

Subtlety is paramount.

Bahar, who enjoys her four- to five-day-a-week dance-cardio exercises at Manhattan’s boutique fitness facility DanceBody, noted that exposing too much skin might sometimes have the opposite effect.

“You’re exposing no more than three inches – no belly button or hip bone.

“It feels appropriate – Ivanka wore it to a wedding,” she continued, referring to the bubble gum pink, rhinestone-encrusted halter top and matching skirt worn by the former first daughter, 41, to her half sister Tiffany Trump’s Palm Beach wedding last fall

Fit, fashion-forward older millennials and Gen Xers are embracing midriff exposure, but on their own terms, with seductive, low-key slivers of skin revealing taut, but often not rock-hard midsections.

Nobody truly cares about having six-pack abs. “It’s about being able to throw on a cropped top or cutout dress without overthinking it,” DanceBody CEO Katia Pryce told The Post.

At the re-launch of her fitness platform, Melissa Wood-Tepperberg chose an outfit that emphasized her long, slender lines.

Celebrities and socialites over 40 have enthusiastically embraced the trend. Recently, Lauren Sanchez, 53, donned a cropped sweater in Aspen, while Kourtney Kardashian, 43, revealed skin at her family’s Christmas party in a curve-hugging, monochromatic white two-piece.

Mindy Kaling, 43, has recently flaunted her substantial weight reduction with a variety of midriff-baring garments, whilst lifestyle guru Athena Calderone, 48, frequently compliments the elegant interiors of her Hamptons and Cobble Hill homes with a glimpse of torso.

Recently, Maria McEvoy, 57, attended a wedding in a slip dress made of cut-out silk.

Luxury designers cater to the aesthetic. Christopher Esber, a favorite of Pilates expert Melissa Wood Tepperberg, 40, creates midi dresses with triangular cutouts and ruched bodices meant to elongate the figure, while New Zealand’s Emilia Wickstead offers an elegant take on the pencil skirt with a high-waisted silhouette and matching bra top.

Even ladies even beyond the age of 40 are thriving.

Maria McEvoy, a 57-year-old psychologist and personal coach in Tribeca, recently attended a wedding in a lace-detailed silk dress with two triangular cuts at the waist.

She felt like she was a teenager again, albeit a lot more stylish.

She stated, “I did not display my abs when I was 18.” However, I’ve never been more comfortable in my own body than I am today.
