Vicky Hall Wears a earring that says ‘F the Tories’ to the British Soap Awards’ red carpet

Vicky Hall, a former star of Casualty, walked the red carpet for the British Soap Awards, putting on earrings that read “F*** the Tories.”

Vicky, who is most known for her role as Hazel Leyton in the medical drama, was photographed in a black gown with gold earrings that definitely made a statement.
Vicky decided to take a different path after playing Hazel from 2015 to 2016, swapping her life as a actor nurse for a real one.

Vicky told broadcasters Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins on Good Morning Britain in 2019 how some patients are startled to see her on a real NHS hospital ward.

‘It can be a bit confusing,’ Vicky said when asked whether patients are confused. ‘I just have to remind them I really have trained and decided to go a new route and try and combine that along with my acting career.

‘It can be confusing for some people, especially if they’ve got dementia or something.’

She added that she ‘wasn’t very academic at school…the thought of doing another degree in something which is quite scientific was a bit of a challenge.’

When asked if she felt like acting as a nurse helped prepare her to becoming a real-life nurse, Vicky answered that ‘I thought I did.

‘My view of being a nurse initially was a lot of brow-mopping and being kind. There’s a lot of autonomy, especially in emergency nursing, you’re expected to be really knowledgeable and really proactive. Kindness and compassion are brilliant, but you really want competence for an A&E nurse.

She added: ‘What I thought was going to be really hard was being bossed around by people much younger than me, but actually that’s a real pleasure. They’re so knowledgeable and informed that I’m really grateful for that.’

Doctors, Bodies, Tracy Beaker Returns, Byker Grove, and Teachers are among the actress’s other credits.

Phillip Schofield hosts the British Soap Awards tonight at 8pm on ITV.
