Twitter users respond to statements by EFF leader Julius Malema regarding Advocate Malesela Teffoer

On Wednesday, July 27, Twitter users responded to statements made by EFF leader Julius Malema regarding Advocate Malesela Teffo and the assertion that Kelly Khumalo’s attorney Magdalene Moosamy was formerly the EFF treasurer-general.

The former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) treasurer-general, Magdalene Moonsamy, is Kelly Khumalo’s attorney, as noted by Twitter user @Mo13Tshepo. This follows remarks made by Julius Malema, the EFF’s leader, regarding Malesela Teffo, an attorney.

Four of the five hitmen accused of killing former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa were previously represented by attorney Teffo. This was prior to his resignation as their legal counsel. On October 26, 2014, a failed heist at the home of singer Kelly Khumalo’s mother in Volsloorus is thought to have resulted in Senzo’s death.

Senzo is Kelly’s ex-boyfriend and “baby daddy”; they have a daughter named Thingo who is seven years old. The Tweep noted that although Malema had many things to say about Advocate Teffo, he had previously worked with Khumalo’s attorney. Here, look.

Other Tweeps have weighed in.

What, then, did Malema say regarding Advocate Teffo? The EFF leader claimed that he is entirely responsible for his own self-destructive behavior. This is in response to Advocate Teffo’s assertion that he had a witness who observed Kelly “mistakenly” fire on Senzo.

“I don’t believe there is any Cyril who concocted anything on him. He was self destructive and he has got himself to blame,” he said as he claimed Advocate Teffo loosely throws in people’s names without backing it up with facts.

Therefore, did Malema support Khumalo? Not quite. He said Kelly knows something and wished for her to share it.

“We hold a view and a very strong view that Senzo Meyiwa was killed. And those people in the house know who killed Senzo. Personally, I’m more than convinced Kelly knows something. I’m more than convinced that she knows something. There must be a way she must be held accountable,” he continued.
