Former President Trump has not disclosed the severity of his Covid-19 infection, but Jared Kushner stated he knew his father-in-law was on the mend when he requested his regular 1,800-calorie McDonald’s meal.

“I knew he was doing better when he requested one of his favorite meals: a McDonald’s Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, fries, and a vanilla shake,” Kushner writes in his forthcoming memoir, Breaking History, obtained by the Washington Examiner and scheduled for release on Tuesday.

On October 2, 2020, one month prior to the presidential election, the president revealed a positive Covid-19 test. After three days of treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center, he was removed in secrecy.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, the former president was known to consume two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish sandwiches, and a chocolate milkshake, a reduction from previous years. Kushner wrote, “As the president recovered at Walter Reed, we all realized that the campaign would have to wait until Trump was both physically and medically fit to return to the campaign road.” In the interim, he directly spoke with Americans via social media to inform them on his recuperation.

At the time, Trump downplayed his illness, while his advisors privately expressed alarm. In 2019 Trump welcomed the championship-winning Clemson Tigers to the White House and treated them to a meal of McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger KingDespite his draw toward the finer things in life, like private jets with seatbelts and bathroom faucets made of gold, the former president never shook his love affair with fast foodTrump's standard McDonald's order has 1,800 calories

After leaving Walter Reed, he informed his fans, “I feel better than I did twenty years ago!”

“Have no fear of Covid. He tweeted at the time, “Don’t let it control your life.” Under the Trump administration, we have created some very remarkable drugs and information.

Despite his attraction to life’s better things, such as private jets with seatbelts and gold bathroom faucets, the former president never lost his affection for fast food. His four’major food groups’ are McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza, and Diet Coke, according to a book written by his former aides Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie.

In 2019, he hosted the national champion Clemson Tigers at the White House and fed them McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King.

Trump tweeted, “Great being with the national champion Clemson Tigers last night at the White House.” “Because of the shutdown, I fed them a large amount of fast food (I paid for it), over a thousand hamburgers, etc. Within one hour, everything was gone. Excellent men and hefty eaters!
