Trump aims at CNN’s new president Chris Licht’s order to stop using the catchphrase.

Trump has blasted CNN for putting a ‘clamp’ on labeling his election fraud claims ‘the Big Lie,’ claiming that the network is concerned about legal risk.

Trump took aim at CNN’s new president Chris Licht’s directive to cease using the phrase “the Big Lie” since it is a Democrat slogan during his American Freedom Tour outside of Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday.

Trump stated CNN recognized the word, which has been used at least 168 times by CNN employees, is legally accountable.

‘In fact, a big item from two days ago, CNN has imposed a moratorium on ever using the term The Big Lie,’ Trump told the roaring crowd.

‘Because I believe they’re concerned about the legal ramifications of using that term, even though they recognize it wasn’t a big untruth,’ says the author. On false news CNN, they are no longer authorized to use the term “big lie.”‘

Far from Trump’s proposals, Licht just ‘discouraged’ employees from using the term in an effort to prevent ‘adopting left-wing branding,’ according to Mediaite.

Licht believes the precise language of ‘the Big Lie’ – an allusion to Hitler’s Nazi propaganda efforts during the Third Reich – is a Democratic Party talking point, according to a source.

‘Trump’s election lie’ or ‘election lie,’ according to Licht, are plausible replacements.

Trump also dubbed Biden “the worst president in the history of America” during his speech in Memphis, accusing him of converting “common to disorder, prosperity into poverty, and security into calamity” during his 17 months in power.

The 2020 Presidential Election, Trump went on to say, is “the worst thing that could have happened.”

‘Have you ever heard of the Big Lie? That was not a fabrication. ‘What they were doing was the Big Lie,’ Trump remarked. ‘That was the Big Lie,’ says the narrator.

According to a report published by Mediaite on Thursday, Licht purportedly stated that he preferred that employees avoid using the catchphrase, but that this was not a requirement.

CNN has been chastised for shifting away from its well-regarded news coverage and into drab opinion programming, where hosts earning seven and eight figures repeat woke talking points.

After warning workers about their constant usage of ‘BREAKING NEWS’ graphics on stories, which he claimed was melodramatic and diminished the punch of huge news when they did break, Licht issued the directive.

CNN has been praised for its coverage of the Ukraine war and other major foreign news issues, and Licht is believed to be eager to return the well-resourced network to neutral news coverage.

CNN staffers claim that the demand to quit telling the big lie was not well received by the Atlanta-based network.

‘It’s concerning that we’re being taught how to discuss one of the worst things that has ever occurred to American democracy,’ a CNN source told Mediaite. ‘We have to call lies what they are, whether they are minor or large lies. Is there a bigger lie than that one?’

According to the insider, Discovery board member John Malone, who is currently on the board of the network’s parent firm and has been critical of CNN under Zucker, is behind it.

‘It appears to point in the right direction,’ they continued. ‘We didn’t have this difficulty until John Malone became a member of the company’s board of directors.’

Those who fail to get on board with the network's new priority to becomes 'less partisan' could be terminated, CNN insiders allege

This is far not the first time Licht, a former producer at MSNBC’s Morning Joe and most recently with Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, has tried to convince the network to tone things down since he inherited the reigns.

Licht has been analyzing news personalities and programs that grew contentious during Donald Trump’s administration as part of his efforts to reform the outlet.

CNN insiders warned Axios that those who don’t get on board with the network’s new aim of becoming “less partisan” may be fired.

Licht is allegedly not trying to eliminate primetime personality programming, but he does want CNN’s news staff to convey material in a way that reflects the network’s stated ideals of balanced reporting.

This, according to analysts, might be troublesome for network correspondents Jim Acosta and Brian Stelter, who have ‘become the face of the network’s left turn,’ among others.

Before firing anyone, Licht wants to give contentious individuals a chance to ‘show they’re willing to respect the network’s ideals,’ according to insiders.

He wants on-air talent, producers, and bookers to make programming selections based on ‘nuance,’ rather than tarnishing the CNN brand, which was previously known as ‘the most trusted name in journalism.’

He has no plans to alter the tone of the network’s primetime programming, but he does want to guarantee that partisan views do not ‘dominate’ programming in a negative way.

This would be a departure from former CNN President Jeff Zucker’s management style, which many believe aided the spread of an anti-Trump agenda.

According to Axios, Licht, who took over at CNN on May 2, agreed with concerns from “people both inside and outside the organization” that the banners are overused on TV in a recent memo.

‘It has grown so ubiquitous on every channel and network that its impact on the viewer has faded,’ he wrote. ‘We are truth-tellers who are concerned with informing rather than frightening our audiences.’

CNN bureau head Sam Feist oversaw an assessment to determine best practices for using the Breaking News label, and the network’s stylebook, or internal editorial guidelines, were updated as a result, according to Licht.

‘It will undoubtedly require tweaking, so we welcome comments,’ said Licht of the new regulations, ‘but this is a wonderful beginning point to try to make ‘Breaking News’ signify something BIG is happening.’
