Tom Jackson Passes Away

Tom Jackson, the beloved star of the hit Netflix show “Queer Eye,” has died at the age of 63 after battling metastatic adenocarcinoma.

His family announced the news on Thursday, March 2. The show’s official Instagram account later confirmed his passing and paid tribute to him.

The Fab Five, consisting of Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, and Bobby Berk, all contributed to elevating Jackson’s style, appearance, and lifestyle in his episode titled “You Can’t Fix Ugly,” which aired in February 2018.

In his online obituary, Jackson’s family expressed their gratitude to the medics who provided treatment and comfort during his final days.

They also thanked fans for their support and asked them to watch Jackson’s “Queer Eye” episode in his honor.

Jackson worked as a dump-truck driver in Georgia before becoming a household name on “Queer Eye.” He considered being a grandfather to his two grandsons as one of his greatest accomplishments.

He also reconciled with his ex-wife Abby Parr on the show, and they went on to tie the knot a second time before ultimately parting ways again in 2019.

Jackson’s family described him as someone who brought joy, humor, persistence, and love to their lives. They said he was special to them and that they looked forward to seeing him again one day.

His memorial service is scheduled for March 12 in Kennesaw, Georgia.
