Sam Amadi, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), took to Twitter to declare Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi as the two most impressive Nigerian politicians since 1999.

According to Amadi, Tinubu built a formidable political structure that propelled him towards the presidency, while Obi inspired Nigerians with a courageous political campaign during the recent presidential election.

Lawsuit Challenging Tinubu’s Age and Citizenship Dismissed

In a related development, a Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected a lawsuit seeking to prevent the inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and his deputy, Kashim Shettima.

The lawsuit alleged discrepancies in Tinubu’s age and citizenship as stated in the documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Frivolous Lawsuit and Lack of Jurisdiction

Justice James Omotosho, delivering the ruling, deemed the lawsuit filed by Praise Ilemona Isaiah, Pastor Paul Isaac Audu, and Anongu Moses as frivolous and an abuse of court process.

The judge stated that the plaintiffs did not possess the legal standing to file the suit, and the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case as it pertained to a presidential election.

Lack of Locus Standi for the Applicants

Furthermore, the court concluded that the applicants, who only participated as voters in the presidential election on February 25, did not possess the necessary locus standi to bring forth the legal action.
