A neighbor of the four slain University of Idaho students has disputed internet speculations that he may be involved for the tragic incident and criticized the “ruthless” social media sleuths behind the deadly accusations.

Jeremy Reagan, a third-year law student who sees himself as “socially uncomfortable,” has garnered attention on social media for his public commentary on the stabbing murders of four friends in the small college town of Moscow while they were sleeping.

“I didn’t do it. I am not hiding anything. Reagan told CourtTV on Tuesday, “I’m prepared to provide DNA, fingerprints, or whatever else they want.”

Reagan claimed that his lack of composure during interviews may be the source of the rumors when asked where he felt the rumors originated.

“I’m naturally an uncomfortable person; my mannerisms, the way I speak…my natural self is just a little bit socially awkward, so I may grin at inappropriate times or make strange hand gestures,” he remarked.

He told NewsNation’s “Banfield” that people’s comments have been “ruthless” and that he has contacted a prosecutor in response to rumors that he has failed to produce DNA samples.

“Officers visited my home today” (Tuesday). They conducted an interview with me. Today, they brought nothing to gather DNA, Reagan stated on the broadcast.

“They said, ‘If we need you, report to the station’” I said, ‘Absolutely,’ adding that he did not know anyone at the off-campus residence where the students were murdered.

Reagan acknowledged that he now carries a firearm.

About NewsNation, he remarked, “Just having it on me provides me that added sense of protection, especially in a time when cybersleuths may or may not arrive.”

“They have already reached out to my friends to inquire about me. “Therefore, who knows whether someone will attempt to face me in person,” he continued.

After his several TV appearances, users of social media have branded Reagan as “weird.”

Many Internet sleuths have referred to Ronald Reagan as “odd.”

“Why is Jeremy Reagan’s left hand wrapped in a black bandage? I am not blaming him, but that is odd. Neither does he flinch when he replies, “No, I went to bed.” Simply weird, one Twitter user stated.

Another argued that Reagan was responsible for the murders, stating that “many killers in the past have inserted themselves into the inquiry or given a slew of interviews to the media regarding the deaths.

“And he is doing just that!” This is one of my numerous forecasts regarding this situation,” the individual continued.

“In the past, several perpetrators have inserted themselves into the inquiry or given numerous interviews to the media regarding the murders,” one Twitter user commented.

Reagan was cited in The Post last week as describing the residence where the kids were murdered as a party house.

There were gatherings that were quite noisy, he remarked. “As I took my dog in and out of the house to use the toilet, I would pass by, glance up, and see individuals in the windows nearly every night, possibly four or five times each week.”

Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, were each stabbed to death by an intruder at 3 a.m. on November 13 as they slept in their beds.

The police have yet to identify a suspect or a motive, and the murder weapon remains unaccounted for.
