A high-voltage electrical tower collapsed in a crowded market, killing thirty people. On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, videos from the incident in Matadi Kibala, Congo, show frantic crowds walking among dead bodies on the ground.

Screams can be heard as people wade through murky water in what appears to be a flooded market street.
A Twitter user who uploaded the video clip wrote: “An excerpt from the situation in the Matadi Kibala district.
“It is a high voltage pill one that fell on A the Matadi Kibala market this morning. Witnesses evoke more than 30 deaths.”
In the video, some bodies can be seen laying on top of one another while others are separated on their own.
And, almost all of the bodies are partially underwater.
While fruits and other food products can also be seen floating in the water around the lifeless bodies.

Some months ago, six worshippers were reportedly feared dead after a high tension electric wire suddenly snapped and fell on the victims during Sunday church service.

Meanwhile, the true identity of victims is a result of severe damage caused by the power cable.
According to an eyewitness, the incident involved, a high tension connecting the Cherum & Seraphim, C&S, Church’s flag pole leading to the electrical shock of about 6 male adults.
Presently, men of the Agege Fire Station of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently attending to the incident with a view to securing lives and properties in the area.
Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs. Adeseye Margaret, confirmed the incident could however ascertain the number of death, saying some of the victims were unconscious as of press time.
In December, an electric cable that fell in Ibadan was said to send a food vendor to an early grave.
One of Nigeria’s news media ‘SaharaReporters’ reported that the motorcyclist was negotiating with a woman when the cable fell on them, killing both of them.
It was gathered that the woman, a food vendor, was in Iwo Road to get N1,000 balance of food a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers had bought from her.
An eyewitness said that officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps evacuated the remains of the two victims of the accident.
