Spokane Tribe Casino Accident

The lives of Paul and Sandi Vetter were forever changed by the tragic accident that occurred at the Spokane Tribe Casino. On Tuesday morning, their 27-year-old daughter Ana Vetter passed away due to a collapse at the construction site where she was working on an expansion project.

Ana was a dedicated worker who loved her profession and was excited to be a part of the union. She had just bought a home in Nine Mile Falls and enjoyed spending time outdoors with her fiancé and four dogs. Her parents described her as someone who never took risks or shortcuts when it came to safety.

The collapse occurred at 9:30 AM on March 7th, and many casino guests reported hearing it. Swinerton Construction, which is building the expansion, stated that crews experienced a formwork collapse. Fortunately, no other workers were injured.

Ana’s parents were informed of her death by her fiancé, and they are still trying to come to terms with the loss. They want people to remember their daughter, who they say helped pave the way for other women working in construction.

The Spokane Tribe Casino General Manager, Javier De La Rosa, expressed his condolences to the family and work crew onsite. The labor union will hold a vigil for Ana, and many people have been sending condolences and prayers to her parents. Ana’s obituary details have not yet been released.
