On Tuesday night, the Nets suffered a 121-107 loss to the Thunder, despite Spencer Dinwiddie’s third consecutive double-double with 16 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds.

Although Dinwiddie attacked the rim as usual, coach Jacque Vaughn believed that his point guard was not rewarded for his work.

Vaughn pointed out that Dinwiddie only had six free throw attempts despite driving to the rim several times.

Vaughn believes that Dinwiddie should have had 16 free throws instead.

Nic Claxton also had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, marking his team-best 23rd double-double of the season.

Mikal Bridges, who scored 34 points, tied his career-high with four blocks and had a career-high nine free throw attempts.

Bridges had his seventh 30-point effort in 14 games as a Net, an impressive feat given that he only broke the 30-point mark twice in 365 games with Phoenix.

Nerlens Noel’s 10-day contract with the Nets was set to expire on Wednesday. However, the veteran center had not heard from management about signing a second contract.

Vaughn had given Noel ample playing time, with two games of over 18 minutes and a meaningful game versus Denver to spell Claxton.

Noel had three points and nine rebounds on 1-for-6 shooting in 43 minutes heading into Tuesday.

Noel’s agent, George Langberg, did not reply to messages from The Post.
