Shakira says there’s a “place in hell” for women who don’t support other women

Shakira recently spoke out about her journey to becoming self-sufficient and her belief that there is a “place in hell” for women who do not support each other.

In an interview with Canal Estrellas on Monday, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer revealed that she had initially believed in the story that a woman needed a man to be complete. However, she has since realized that she can be entirely self-sufficient.

Shakira’s comment comes as her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, recently went Instagram-official with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, who is much younger than him.

Piqué and Shakira split in June 2022, and she later revealed that she and her two sons, Milan and Sasha, would be moving to Miami after establishing a custody agreement with the athlete.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Shakira said that she has come out stronger after facing life’s battles. She is now focusing on being a “lioness” for her two sons and being an example to them.

She explained that her strength comes from experiencing a painful loss, accepting it, tolerating frustration, and understanding that life doesn’t always bring what we want.

Shakira and Piqué established a custody agreement at the time of their split. Reports later revealed that the “Whenever, Wherever” performer had discovered Piqué’s alleged cheating because of a used jam jar.

Nonetheless, Shakira has remained resilient and continues to prioritize being a strong and supportive mother for her children.
