See Russia’s Doomsday Weapon that is Impervious to Interception

According to Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defence Magazine, Russia’s Poseidon nuclear torpedo is a “doomsday weapon” that cannot be intercepted by any current arms system. The Poseidon is an underwater nuclear-cable vehicle designed to strike coastal areas of potential enemies with a high yield nuclear warhead. It is capable of destroying enemy targets in the event of a large-scale nuclear war.

One of the key features of the Poseidon is its ability to deliver a nuclear warhead at any distance, and it travels at a depth that makes interception impossible. On January 16th, it was announced that the first Poseidon nuclear super torpedo for the Belgorod nuclear submarine had been manufactured in Russia. Additionally, the nuclear submarine crew had completed a series of drop tests of the Poseidon nuclear torpedo mock-up.

In July 2022, the K-329 Belgorod special-purpose nuclear submarine of project 09852 was delivered to the Russian Navy by Sevmash Enterprise. This submarine will be used to carry the Poseidon nuclear torpedoes.
