The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) discussed opportunities to promote the hotel apartment sector with the Representative Committee of the Hotel Apartments Sector Working Group under SCCI.
This came during a recent meeting held at Al Hayat Hotel Apartments and led by Abdulaziz Shattaf, Assistant Director-General for the Communication and Business Industry at SCCI, and attended by officials from the Department of Economic Relations and working groups in the SCCI.
The SCCI discussed the reality of the hotel sector in the emirate of Sharjah and the executive steps aimed at raising the level of the sector in compliance with SCCI’s new directions and strategy. Such efforts fall in line with the tourism growth in the emirate and the aspirations of its visitors, to enhance its position on the global tourism map and contribute to increasing investments in the vital hotel sector.
Assistant Director-General Shattaf said that the hotel apartment sector is an important tourism sector that significantly contributes to the reinforcement of Sharjah’s status as a popular tourist destination.
The Representative Committee of the Hotel Apartments Sector Working Group lauded the SCCI’s efforts and its periodic review of the sector’s reality, reiterating their desire to make every effort to enhance the hotel sector in Sharjah in accordance with the emirate’s overall growth.
