This schedule provides the dates when beneficiaries can expect to collect their grants.

It is part of the agency’s plan for the 2023/24 financial year.

Payment Schedule for June Grants

During the first week of the month, elderly, child, and disability grant payments will be made.

Following that, Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant recipients and all other grant beneficiaries will receive their payments.

Except for SRD recipients, all other beneficiaries can collect their grants at South African Post Office branches.

The specific payment dates for June are as follows:
– Older person grants: 2 June 2023
– Disability grants: 5 June 2023
– Children’s grants: 6 June 2023

No fixed payment date is mentioned for the special COVID-19 SRD.

Validity of Expired SASSA/Postbank Gold Cards Extended

SASSA previously urged grant holders with expired or expiring gold cards to collect their new cards at post offices nationwide.

However, the Payment Association of South Africa (PASA) has extended the validity of expired SASSA/Postbank Gold Cards until 31 December 2023.

This means that beneficiaries can continue using their expired cards for social grants transactions without interruptions.

Recipients Can Choose Their Payment Channel

SASSA’s Gauteng and Mpumalanga Executive Manager, Themba Matlou, reassured beneficiaries with gold cards that their cards will remain valid until the end of the year.

He emphasized that recipients have the option to choose their preferred payment channel and can visit SASSA offices to change the method of payment if desired.
