Following the discovery of his romance with the team’s dietician, South African Twitter users have criticized the behavior of Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Jantjies and Springbok nutritionist Zeenat Simjee shared a room at a guesthouse in Nelspruit. Since their departure from Argentina, where the team was preparing for their upcoming Rugby Championship match, they have returned home.
It is not the first time that Jantjies has been in the spotlight for reasons unrelated to rugby. The 32-year-old provoked an incident on a flight earlier this year. He was accused of harassing a flight attendant and charged with malicious destruction of property.
The allegations were dismissed in court, and Jantjies was declared the victor.
The South African public was not as forgiving as the legal system, and they made their feelings known to flyhalf.

One user speculated that the recent incident marked the end of Jantjies’ career in a South African national team jersey.
