“Royal dogs” stolen from loving family by masked men

Two hooded men were captured on surveillance footage snatching a family’s two cherished dogs from their front yard.

One of the males went over the front fence of the residence in Harrisdale, south of Perth, at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, following which Charlie and Harry, two King Charles Spaniels, were removed.

CCTV footage reveals two individuals in all-black clothing and balaclavas scouting out a residence moments before one of them leaps the fence and looks for the pets.

The second man patiently waits on the opposite side of the fence with a dog leash in hand. He immediately attaches the dogs to the leash before the pair runs across a nearby playground.

Melissa Hanson, the dogs’ owner, stated on Facebook, “We are heartbroken.”

If you have any information, please email me.

Charlie and Harry are well-known and adored by all the children in the neighborhood.

The two males departed, crossing the parking lot and playground towards Harrisdale Elementary School.

Ms. Hanson then pleaded with residents to study any surveillance footage in an effort to locate the men.

Please check your cameras if you live in the vicinity or were dropping your children off at school and saw two males with dogs matching these descriptions.

Police have been notified and have requested anyone with information to come forward.

As they reacted on the crime, social media users were angered by the Facebook post.

“Vile lowlifes. Hope you get your furry family members back soon,’ commented one reader.

‘Oh my god! Some folks are simply mentally ill,’ wrote a second.

A third said, “I hope you find the dogs quickly and that they are in excellent health.”

“OMG, this is ridiculous. During daylight hours. I truly hope you receive them back,’ another person remarked.
