Relli has been receiving counselling since the incident, according to the lawyers.

The legal team told the publication: “After arriving at the place, a dialogue proceeded during which A$AP Rocky produced the pistol and purposefully fired numerous bullets at Mr. Ephron without provocation, warning, or any reason.”

On the same day that Rocky’s accusations were revealed, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon managed to stave off a second recall effort.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascn has been under fire for criminal justice changes that some have said have encouraged lawlessness in an area that has experienced increased crime rates, blatant smash-and-grab robberies, and home invasions. The top prosecutor has refuted these claims.

The unsuccessful effort comes after District Attorney Chesa Boudin, another well-known California criminal justice reformer, was called back by San Francisco voters in June.

After an early effort last year failed, it was the second attempt to qualify a recall election that might remove Gascón.

According to Cristine Soto DeBerry, executive director of the Prosecutors Alliance, which advocates for improvements, “Los Angeles’ criminal justice reform movement has succeeded because this is a city that favours facts over unfounded fear.”

Gascón expressed his gratitude for being able to move beyond this effort at a political power grab in a tweet.
