Police search home after 11-year-old Kaitlyn Easson is found “safe and well”

After a frenzied 27-hour search, detectives found the missing 11-year-old youngster and have now shut off the residence.

Following a search on Sunday and Monday in Galashiels, Selkirkshire, Kaitlyn Easson was discovered “safe and healthy.”

The positive news was announced by police late on Monday night following an earlier press conference during which they expressed their “great anxiety” for her wellbeing.

Officers have recently been seen patrolling a house two miles from the youngster’s family home in the adjacent community of Gattonside. Police Scotland refuses to respond to inquiries about the matter.

The Scottish Sun was informed by a neighbor, however, that “the cops came there yesterday night.”

“I didn’t see anybody arriving or departing,” the witness said, “but we were informed it had anything to do with the missing child.”

“Having this here is quite unsettling, particularly being the parent of two small children myself.”

Kaitlyn’s step-grandfather David Johnston, 56, of Tweedbank, near Galashiels, implores people to “let the police do their job” despite the fact that they have not yet disclosed their motivation for being at the scene of the residence.

The key thing, he continued, is that she is at home.

The cops must carry out their duty.

A “major effort” was launched when Kaitlyn vanished over the weekend, according to Police Commander Chief Superintendent Catriona Paton.

The schoolgirl was reported missing later that day after being last seen in the town’s center at approximately 5.45 p.m. on Sunday.

The next day, 24 hours after she had been reported missing, Police Scotland issued a fresh appeal for assistance in finding her and pleaded with the public to assist in the search.

On Monday night, the police department said that Kaitlyn had been discovered “safe and healthy.”

We appreciate everyone who shared our appeals.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Border Search and Rescue Unit, volunteers, and specialized Police Scotland teams, including investigators, divers, and air support, offered assistance.

Her absence, according to Police Scotland, is “extremely out of character.”
