Police officers, paramedics and firefighters rushed to a man’s home in southeastern Pennsylvania after his 15-foot-long snake wrapped itself around his neck

When a man’s 15-foot pet snake coiled itself around his throat and gave him a heart attack in Pennsylvania, police had no choice but to shoot the snake in the head.

Police were summoned when the reptile attacked its 28-year-old owner severely on Wednesday afternoon in Fogelsville, southeast Pennsylvania.

At 2.12 p.m., emergency personnel including paramedics, firefighters, and police responded to a terrifying transmission that read: “28-year-old male with a snake wrapped around his neck.”

According to Lieutenant Peter Nickischer of Upper Macungie Township, the first responders found it difficult to accept what they observed.

He stated: “I really reached out to the chief and asked: “What was that dispatch?”

After hearing part of that transmission go out.

According to him, “I think one of the policemen described it as a scene from a horror movie,” and that’s probably the best way to sum it up.

Police initially attempted to sever the snake from the man’s neck with a knife.

An cop moved back and shot it in the head after battling to do so and running out of time.

The snake was actually staring up at the officer as he peeked into the room, according to Lieutenant Nickischer.

It was a direct conversation, after all. The policeman merely carried out his duties.

For this person, the situation was really serious.

They had to take great care to safeguard themselves. It was not a good idea to approach this reptile too closely or try to handle it.

He indicated that the man’s throat was being firmly twisted around by the snake’s midsection.

But since its head was so far away, the owner was not in danger if it were shot.

Responders moved the snake away from the man and paramedics started performing CPR after it was shot dead instantly.

The snake then began to slither away, but as it is a very huge snake, it is still spread out over the home’s hallway, according to Lt. Nickischer.

Although it is uncertain what state the individual is in right now, he is recovering in the hospital.

Neighbour confirmed that he also had a large collection of snakes. One was captured on camera crawling by an upstairs window.

The reason the 15-foot reptile attacked him is unknown.

The horrifying episode happened shortly after searchers discovered two female pythons measuring 17 feet long, 23 eggs, and scores of hatchlings on a Florida nature reserve.

The snakes were brought to Florida as pets, but their owners dumped them in the wild, where they multiplied and grew to enormous sizes.
