Police allege that Landon Parrott, a teen parent, intentionally left his 1-year-old son in a car when the temperature reached 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

When he took his kid Kyler to the hospital, Parrott, 19, lied to cops that he had only briefly left the boy in the car while he used the restroom.

Video recovered by detectives revealed that Parrott left the boy unsupervised for almost five hours, according to a police statement. Kyler’s obituary describes him as having a “sweet temperament and a loving approach with animals, especially at such a young age.”

On Thursday, an Ohio man was charged with murder after allegedly leaving his 1-year-old kid in a hot car for five hours as the interior temperature reached 130 degrees.

Police were notified of the incident after 19-year-old Landon Parrott brought his unresponsive kid Kyler to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in New Philadelphia.

Initially, Parrott told authorities that the child had only been in the car for a short period of time while he went to the restroom.

New Philadelphia is located south of Cleveland by 80 miles.

Michael Goodwin, the city’s police chief, said in a statement, ‘During the initial inquiry, detectives discovered contradicting information provided by the father.’

Goodwin stated in his statement that Parrott ‘admitted to detectives what had happened to his son’ after being faced with proof.

The statement continued, “During the questioning, it became apparent that this was not a case of forgetting the youngster, but rather a purposeful act so that the child would not cause a problem while in the house.”

In an interview with Fox8, Captain Ty Norris of the New Philadelphia Police Department stated, “We estimate the internal temperature to have been approximately 130 degrees.”

During his interview with investigators, Parrott stated that he was aware of the risks associated with leaving children in hot cars but did not wish to be disturbed.

Vanessa, the child’s mother, was at work when the awful tragedy occurred, according to Norris.

He said, “We estimate the interior temperature to have been approximately 130 degrees, and this youngster was strapped into a car seat with no fluids, no air conditioning, nothing.”

Norris continued: ‘Devastating. It’s sad to watch this tragedy unfold… This is about a poor child and a poor mother who were simply attempting to work and pay their expenses, as well as seeking justice for both of them.

It added, ‘I wish I could adequately describe the loss that has transpired. He was such a busy and interested infant. Yes, he enjoyed listening to Britney Spears with me during his bath time.

“We want the world to immediately stop and pay attention to him, to recognize the name Kyler.” Not what occurred. Right now is all about him… look at him… remember he was here,’ his grandparents wrote in a heartfelt statement.
