Poker pro accused of using ‘secret vibrating device’ to win $130,000

A professional poker player claims his opponent ‘obviously cheated’ during a livestreamed poker game.

Poker newcomer Robbi Jade Lew, 35, right,  won an all-in hand for a pot of $269,000 against Garrett Adelstein, 36, who lost the hand, who believes she cheated during the game
Garrett Adelstein, a regular at California’s 24-hour Hustler Casino, was participating in a Texas hold’em game.

Robbi Jade Lew, a relative rookie to the game, unexpectedly declared all-in despite holding a rather weak hand, leaving him speechless.

The odds were stacked against her, with DraftKings calculating that there were almost 150 ways for Lew to lose but only six ways for her to win, which she did. Those commentating on the game were stunned.

Adelstein compelled Lew to go all-in and acted astonished when she displayed a Jack-high hand to win the hand.

Garrett needed a club, a six, or a jack to win the hand, but Lew’s jack prevailed.Poker pro accused of using ‘secret vibrating device’ to win 0,000

The expression on Adelstein’s face as he lost the hand revealed his disbelief and boiling wrath.

He stated, “I can not comprehend what is happening right now.”

‘You look like you want to kill me. Lew stated, “I thought you had ace high.”

Therefore, why call while jack high? Adelstein stated. A pair of jacks would have fallen to a pair of aces.

‘Because you don’t have s**t!’ Lew said.

Lew explained her unconventional strategy by stating that she believed Adelstein’s cards were inferior to her own.

Adelstein’s cards were a nine and an ace, and most poker players believed Lew should have folded instead of wagering her whole stack of chips.

She wrote “Get over it” on Twitter.

However, Adelstein later claimed on social media that Lew promised to repay the money he had lost, which he interpreted as proof of her guilt.

Lew previously worked in a senior capacity for pharmaceutical company Bayer

How do you stop an adult man from throwing a tantrum? She published online. As a woman in a sport dominated by men, it is difficult enough to stand up to the table bully.

In a second tweet, she detailed how Adelstein threatened her ‘in a dark passage’ after dragging her out of the casino.

‘Garrett blocked me. True to the charge. What an honorable man! I was cornered and threatened by him. Imagine what it’s like OFF camera if he has the audacity to give me the death gaze ON camera. She stated online, “I was yanked from the game and forced to speak to him in a dark hallway.”

Adelstein has charged Lew with dishonesty.

“Poker is a really intricate and delicate game,” he stated, adding that her hand had “very little equity.”

He then analyzed some of Lew’s prior techniques and suggested that someone could ‘cheat’ by concealing a device that vibrates when they have the best hand.

By hacking into the card reader, a frequent method of cheating is for someone to know who will have the better hand at showdown.

Lew promptly returned his winnings, a move that Adelstein interpreted as a “admission of guilt.”

Some social media users claimed that Lew’s chair was trembling before she made the call.

Adelstein has produced no evidence that Lew cheated or used a device of this type.

After the game, he warned her, “Robbie, this will certainly be seen by millions of people… I believe you are aware that you messed up.

Adelstein states that Lew then offered to return him the winnings.

‘Knowing a) that this was most likely the closest I would get to a confession and b) how tough it is to receive a refund in these cheating scandals, I decided not to confess. I accepted her offer,’ he penned.

After been blatantly defrauded, “Of course I am going to receive my money back once she has offered it”

Lew has explained her unconventional strategy because she believed Adelstein’s cards were inferior to hers.

Lew then described how she was “forced to speak to him in a dark hallway” and offered him her winnings back.

A DraftKings blog appeared similarly bewildered by Lew’s choice.

“Ignore ranges and optimal game theory play; even the most inexperienced players never make a call based only on the strength of their hand.” In poker, you can always bluff, but when your opponent moves all-in for double the size of the pot, bluffing becomes impossible.

Nick Vertucci, co-founder of Hustler Casino Live, has stated that Lew is a novice player who likely misjudged her hand.

Vertucci stated, “There is no possibility that there is anything that could be considered cheating.” “We’ve inspected everything”

Hustler Casino has stated that neither player will be invited back until an investigation into the incident has been completed.

Adelstein then took to social media to explain what had transpired, suggesting that Lew may have cheated by employing a ‘device’ to enhance her poker playing.

We fully appreciate the gravity of the issue and the accusations. The casino said in a statement that it takes this matter very seriously.

“At this time, we have no evidence or indication of any misconduct other than the complaints of the people concerned,”

Adelstein has appeared more than fifty times on the casino’s livestreamed show and is the casino’s leading player, having won over $1.6 million.

In contrast, Lew has only appeared twice and has won slightly over $100,000.

Adelstein has featured on the casino’s livestreamed broadcast more than fifty times, winning more than $1.6 million.

Lew has only made two appearances in the online poker game, winning slightly over $100,000.

Not only poker, but also other table games have been shaken by suspicions of cheating.

Magnus Carlsen, the No. 1 chess player in the world, was accused of ‘damaging’ the game last week after he shockingly retired from a match against a fellow grandmaster after one move due to suspicions that his opponent was using anal beads to cheat.

Arkady Dvorkovich, the president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), disclosed in a statement released last Friday that he was dissatisfied with Carlsen’s behavior in withdrawing from the Sinquefield Cup and quitting his match against his 19-year-old opponent, Hans Niemann.

Neimann’s departure followed rumors that he cheated with a vibrating anal sex item.

Dvorkovich took aim at world chess champion Carlsen, stating that the 31-year-old Norwegian had a’moral obligation’ as a ‘global ambassador of the game’

In an interview, he has now declined to say whether he feels Niemann cheated in both of their games.

“His actions have an effect on the reputation of his coworkers, on sporting outcomes, and can ultimately be detrimental to our sport. We are adamant that there were better ways to address this crisis,’ he declared.

Neimann has rejected the dramatic allegation concerning the anal pearls, although the statement did not “specify” what incident they were talking to.

He is suspected of utilizing a vibrating, remote-controlled sex toy to get an advantage over Carlsen by having an accomplice activate the item in order to lead him to better moves.

The president stated that the game’s governing organization is considering forming a committee of’specialists’ to eradicate cheating from FIDE competitions.

Dvorkovich stated that the FIDE is prepared to charge its Fair Play panel with a comprehensive examination of the situation.

The head of the chess organization stated that additional proof would be required before such an investigation could commence.

On Thursday, the 19-year-old chess prodigy Hans Niemann (pictured) fell in the quarterfinals of the Julius Baer Generation Cup. The teen has been accused of cheating in a variety of inventive ways, including by communicating with his instructor via vibrating anal beads.
