The Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the one-and-a-half-year acquisition of AmaZulu midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula.

Skhehli, who has excelled in recent seasons with Usuthu, will offer a wealth of expertise to the Bucs’ engine room.

The Club would like to congratulate AmaZulu management for handling the transfer of Makhaula in a professional manner. Through the leadership and supervision of Chairman Sandile Zungu, Usuthu was transparent and cooperative during the discussions, allowing both clubs to complete the process quickly and easily. We applaud the board’s behavior and wish them the best for the remainder of the season.

Makhaula, who is from Mohlakeng in Randfontein, has expressed his happiness at joining the Buccaneers.

“I am ecstatic to have signed with one of the nation’s premier clubs. “It’s a dream come true,” the 33-year-old added. “I look forward to meeting my new teammates and contributing to the Club’s efforts to achieve its goals.”

“I cannot begin a new chapter in my career without paying tribute to my former team. Thank you to the entire board, the technical team, my teammates, and Usuthu’s supporters for everything you’ve done for me,” he ended.
