Picton vehicle crash in Buxton kills five


Five people are killed after their vehicle crashes into a tree on a rural road, while the lone survivor battles for his life in the hospital.

Five persons were killed when a car lost control and struck a tree.

Tuesday evening, just after 8 p.m., a horrific vehicle accident claimed the lives of at least five people.

A Nissan Navara utility vehicle apparently lost control and smashed into a tree on East Parade in Buxton, a town of approximately 1,000 people located 100 kilometers southwest of Sydney and near Picton.

The 18-year-old male driver of the vehicle has reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance personnel before being sent to Liverpool Hospital for further testing.

The police reported that three female passengers and two male passengers, all presumed to be the same age, perished at the site.

On Tuesday, police officers and other emergency personnel were photographed at the crash site.

According to Fire and Rescue NSW, numerous emergency services responded to a catastrophic accident on East Parade involving multiple victims.

In addition, a medical team arrived via helicopter.

Officers from the Camden Police Area Command established the crime scene, which is currently being investigated by the Crash Investigation Unit.

A police official stated, “An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is already underway, and a report will be prepared for… the Coroner.”

Tuesday night, an emergency worker appears to be comforting a colleague at the scene of a fatal collision.

Two distressed individuals are spotted at the collision site where at least five people perished.

Police and other emergency personnel are depicted gathered around the crash site, which has been cordoned off.

A man who lives in close proximity to the accident site reported hearing sirens shortly after the occurrence.

Justin Davis told The Daily Telegraph, “We heard the response of the emergency cars and saw the flashing lights, which illuminated the entire street.”

According to him, a helicopter landed in a neighboring field.

Mr. Davis stated that the region is often extremely peaceful.

Even when children ride their motorcycles around the streets, he claimed, they do so quietly.

As horrified neighbours rushed to view the wreckage, images from the area depict a car in shambles in front of houses.

Police are conducting interviews with residents.

The collision, which occurred near Buxton’s town center, included no further automobiles.

A representative for Fire and Rescue New South Wales informed the Daily Mail Australia that all of its officers have now returned to their posts, where they are being debriefed following the horrific accident.
