Pauley Perrette glad to be alive after’massive stroke’

A year ago, Pauley Perrette had a “massive stroke.”

A year after experiencing a serious medical emergency, the former “NCIS” actress, who portrayed Abby Sciuto for 15 seasons until departing the series in 2018, feels “so happy” to be “still alive.”

She stated on Twitter: “It’s 9/2. I had a severe stroke a year ago. Prior to it, I had endured the loss of several close relatives, friends, my father, and then Cousin Wayne.

Despite the difficult life I’ve been given so far, I’m still alive, thankful, and full of faith. I’m still here.

How many times do I cheat death, the 53-year-old actress said in an accompanying video.

She continued by recalling several unpleasant experiences, like being assaulted by a homeless guy the next year and being hospitalised in 2014 after having a serious allergic reaction to her character’s hair colour.

Yes, I’m back and I’m here, she said. How many times can I avoid dying? like how my allergy to hair colouring almost killed me. I am a victim of rape and domestic abuse, and I also have food allergies.

“I survived being attacked by a crazy homeless person and nearly died. Particularly for all of my rescue dogs there, I’m feeling quite appreciative. And I’m still here, and I’m in high spirits.

After only one season of the CBS comedy “Broke,” Pauley announced her acting retirement in 2020. She informed fans that since then, she has “gone through a lot,” but she would always be thankful for the positive things in her life.

“In the last two years, I’ve been through a lot. There are challenges greater than suffering a stroke. I’m still here, however. And I’m still appreciative. And I’d want to thank my pals among you. I’m grateful. Godspeed to everyone. I remain here.
