Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ trailer had sex scenes deleted

Olivia Wilde had to eliminate sex scenes from the trailer for her upcoming film, “Don’t Worry Darling”, as she believes we live in a “puritanical society”.

The 38-year-old actress revealed to the Associated Press that the Motion Picture Association forced her to remove certain parts from the film in order to receive approval.

She stated, “Many items had to be removed from the trailer. The MPA came down hard on me and the trailer at the last minute, and I was forced to delete a few pictures, which I was sad about because I believed they pushed it up a level.

“However, we still live in a society that is extremely puritanical. I believe that the lack of eroticism in American films is quite recent. Then when it comes to female pleasure, it’s something that we just don’t see very often unless you’re talking about gay movies.

“It’s fascinating that in many LGBT films, female characters are permitted to have more pleasure. Audiences aren’t as puritanical as corporations think they are.”

Wilde went on: “And yet people become outraged. I mean, people are already angry with me about this. It is a testimony to the film, in my opinion. We wish to be controversial. The objective is not to make you feel safe.”

Wilde, who is dating the star of her upcoming picture, Harry Styles, 28, recently found herself in a public battle of words with Shia LaBeouf, who was initially supposed to portray the male lead.

After the character was recast with her boyfriend, Harry Styles, she stated that LaBeouf’s “process” was “not conducive to the ethos that I require from my projects.”

Styles portrays Jack alongside Florence Pugh, who reportedly experienced “conflict” with Shia LaBeouf on the set of “Don’t Worry, Darling.”

LaBeouf, 36, has provided alleged evidence opposing Wilde’s accusations, including an email he allegedly sent to the director and a video she allegedly sent him, which he claims demonstrates he quit the project rather than being fired.
