No Powerball ticket sold raises jackpot to $1.9 billion

After no winning tickets were sold in Saturday night’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.9 billion, according to California lottery officials. Saturday’s winning numbers were 28, 45, 53, 56, 69, and 20 Powerball.

The next drawing will take place on Monday. If someone wins, the prize will be the largest ever awarded by a lottery.

A winner may choose to receive the reward as an annuity over 29 years or as a single amount of $929,1,000,000, according to the California lottery.

Since August 3, when no one matched all five winning numbers and the Powerball, no one has been able to win the jackpot.

The probability of winning everything is 1 in 292,2 million.
