NDU Postgraduate Application

Admission to full-time and part-time Postgraduate Programmes of the Niger Delta University (NDU) for the 2022/2023 academic session is open to adequately qualified applicants.

This stream’s lectures will begin in March 2023. The admissions portal will accept applications between 1 November 2022 and 31 January 2023.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):

The admission requirements for PGD programs will be as follows:

All applicants must complete the matriculation criteria, which include an O’ level credit pass in English Language and Mathematics.
A minimum of a third-class degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited university.
HND holders with a passing grade of at least a credit from a recognized institution.

Masters Programme

The admission requirements for the aforementioned programs will be as follows:

All candidates must meet the requisite matriculation standards. 33
Possess a relevant/suitable Bachelor’s Degree in the candidate’s area of application with at least lower division honours or a CGPA of at least 3.50/4.00 on a 5.00-point scale for appropriate faculties. The minimum GPA requirement for Biochemistry is 3.00, while the minimum GPA required for Biological Sciences is 2.75.

Masters/PhD Programme

All candidates must:

Meet matriculation requirements
Bachelor’s degree in the candidate’s field of application with at least a second-class honours (Lower Division) from an approved/recognized institution.

Master’s degree with a minimum 3.20 GPA on a 5.00-point scale, where appropriate.

Physician of Philosophy (Ph.D)

All candidates must:

Bachelor’s degree in the candidate’s field of application with at least a second-class honours (Lower Division) from an approved/recognized institution.

Master’s degree with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50/ 4.00 on a 5.00-point scale if applicable.
Doctorate in Reproductive Health: Holders of Full Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and holders of Part 1 Fellowship are eligible for admission under the conditions outlined in the prospectus/brochure.

APPLICATION /ADDITIONAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Academic transcript of previous qualification (PGD, MSc, PhD) with forwarding letter signed by an authorized officer of the school and delivered to the Dean, Postgraduate School, Niger Delta University in a sealed envelope. To minimize late submission of transcripts, candidates are urged to get a transcript from their alma mater as soon as they purchase and submit the application.

One must be an academic referee (lecturer who taught the candidate in the previous school, project/thesis supervisor, department head, or dean of faculty).

NYSC Certificate of Discharge or Letter of Exemption/Exclusion. (Candidates awaiting their NYSC Discharge certificate may apply if the certificate will be available at the time of registration)
The length of the NDU Postgraduate Programme

FULL-TIME

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs: Minimum of two semesters, maximum of four semesters.
Master’s Degree (MSc) Programs: Masters programmes shall consist of a minimum of four and a maximum of six semesters.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program shall consist of a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of ten semesters.

PART-TIME

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes: The duration of the PGD programme shall be between four and six semesters.
Masters (MSc) Programmes: Masters programmes must last between six and eight semesters.
Physician of Philosophy (PhD) The Doctor of Philosophy program shall consist of a minimum of ten and a maximum of twelve semesters.

DURATION OF PART-TIME MBA/MPA PROGRAMS

Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Public Administration (MPA) programs last at least four semesters.

NOTE: PART-TIME PROGRAMS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PROGRAMS IN MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL SCIENCES FACULTIES.

How to Fill Out the NDU Postgraduate Admission Application

Obtain Application Form at ndufees.com for just Thirty Thousand Nigerian Naira (N30,000.00). Go to postgraduate.nduportal.com and click on admissions. Then, click the application’s icon. Enter your mobile phone number and the number on your payment receipt. Complete the form CORRECTLY, upload all required papers, and CONFIRM DOCUMENT UPLOAD. Create a printout of the application. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE N30,000.00 APPLICATION FEE IS NOT REFUNDABLE DURATION OF SALE AND UPLOAD OF DOCUMENTS

The Portal would close at 12 MIDDAY on January 31, 2023, for the uploading of papers (academic credentials, NYSC Discharge, Exclusion or Exemption Certificate, Birth Certificate/Age Declaration, and other documents where applicable).
